We’ve done a bit of web spying, frolicking in the social media waters on both Facebook and Twitter and love all the positive feedback about our regal digs. Check out what some readers have shared with us about their experience staying with us and *gush* what they love most about us!

One recent guest loves our 36th floor!
“The room was excellent on the 36th floor with a fantastic view of the NY skyline and the Chrysler building. [Its was] a room big enough to cope with 4 adults, very clean and well decorated, friendly staff, efficient lifts, and a good position in the city for near sights.”
(We love the Art Deco landmark by day and night too!)

Our guests know how to score good deals!
“Got really good deal on
lastminute.com …[and] booked again. We got a massive corner room which was clean and gave us great views of Chrysler Building. It is so central, walking distance to Grand Central Station, 5th Ave, Time Square and UN Building. Would stay there again.” (Thanks! Come back soon.)

We appeal to those with taste but with some recessionary limitations.
“I found the hotel a very good balance in terms of value for money in New York, probably the best ever for me…The free Wi-Fi is a nice touch.”

Even during our renovations, guests can’t get enough of us!
“I chose this hotel based on reviews here and I knew it was being renovated. I’m certain the renovations are the reason for the good price I was able to get. The staff is indeed very friendly as described in many reviews…The staff really does a great job of trying to make up for the renovations. Plus, the free internet was a nice touch.” (We do rock the free wi-fi well, especially when most hotels charge you an arm and a leg!)

We’re great for family bonding!
“My daughter and I stayed at the Helmsley mid-July 2009. The staff was efficient and helpful. Our room was very clean and had a great view from the 37th floor. Little street noise could be heard up that high. Pax restaurant next door had good food and prices. Pershing Square (across from Grand Central) is expensive but good. We also enjoyed eating at Jr’s Brooklyn Deli near Times Square – a local favorite. We love NYC and will definitely stay at the Helmsley again.”
